About

The Home Education Club is a Christian home education provision for children aged 5-11 years (covering school years 1-6). Children have the opportunity to learn academic and creative subjects in a structured, but encouraging family environment. The Home Education Club can help to enhance the education that children receive at home and give children the opportunity to socialise with others.

The club provides a varied and interesting curriculum, covering a wide range of subjects including English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Art, Performing Arts, Literature, Reading and Writing.

There is no homework and parents can book the individual sessions that they would like their child to attend.
There is no requirement for a child to attend every session, however if they did, throughout the course of one year they would cover the equivalent of one year’s academic work.

The Home Education Club follows The Good and the Beautiful Curriculum for Language Arts, Science and History and the Mathematics Enhancement Programme for Maths.

The Home Education Club is not a school and it is not a replacement for school, parents/guardians remain responsible for ensuring their children are receiving a suitable, full-time education.
Approval of Club Membership is at the discretion of Hannah Hall based on consideration of the child’s suitability to access the curriculum and thrive in the family environment.

Maths: Children work at their own grade level with a combination of teacher-led and independent learning. Children will have access to a range of manipulatives to give them a hands-on experience of maths to help their understanding of mathematical concepts.

Science: Science is taught family-style with all children engaging in the lesson together. The lessons are taught as unit studies, allowing children to explore a topic in-depth. Unit studies include topics such as Botany, Energy, Marine Biology, Space, Water, Human Body and more. Children learn through discussions, experiments, hands-on experiences and written work.

Creative Arts: Covers a wide range of creative activities such as art and craft, singing, acting, dancing, recitation, nature activities and handicrafts. These sessions give children opportunity to express their creativity and gain confidence in presenting work and performing in front of others in the club.

History: History is taught family-style with all children engaging in the lesson together. The curriculum covers ancient history through to modern history to enable children to see the whole sweep of history and how it fits together. We take a general Christian world view approach to history.

A Christian Home Ed Provision

The Home Education Club is a Christian home ed provision which takes a general Christian worldview. Our focus is on high moral character and basic biblical principals such as gratitude, honesty, prayer and kindness rather than doctrine of any particular denomination.
